Youtube Video Marketing – What is YouTube good for NOW?
I think it’s time to clear the air about what YouTube videos are really good for nowadays and what I have to do with helping you use YouTube.
I think the real value of YouTube is that it can help you put the“YOU” back into YouTube video marketing. If you want to separate yourself from your potential competition you’re got to use YouTube in a way that sets you apart from your competition.
Although I certainly respect the people I worked with during my active Hollywood movie-making career, I’m old enough to remember the ‘greats’ of yesterday….the Cary Grants, the Marlon Brandos, the HumphryBogarts and many others in their unique ‘league’. And I remember what made them great.
They were able to establish real connections with their audience. That’s what made them really great. And I think that’s what YouTube can and should be used for today. YouTube video marketing should be about more than just news or information or facts.
If you’ve got a product or a service or a cause (which I assume most of you do or you wouldn’t be reading Lifestand), I hope you realize that everybody else has some kind of ‘latest-and-greatest’ gadget too.
That means that you’ve got to make sell yourself first, and precedent to the product sale. That’s the best use of YouTube video marketing.
Now, you’ll remember that I talk a lot about ‘camera shyness’, camera anxiety and camera comfortable, right? Well….those things really exist and they do reduce your ability to sell yourself via YouTube. That’s the critical area where I can help you. I can help you tune-up your YouTube engine…..i.e. the YOU in YouTube.
If you desire to be a really expert YouTube video marketeryou’ve got to be fully functional and effective in all kinds of YouTube selling situations. You’ve got to be able to deliver all the different kinds of messages that YouTube gives you the opportunity to employ.
You’ve to be able to motivate, you’ve got to be able to get serious, you’ve got to be able to ‘scold’ (a little bit) sometimes, you’ve to be able be funny….and I’m sure there’s other situations too. What I do is take my acting and acting coaching talents and help you be more in control of the ability that you do have to be all those things. I’ve done it with hundreds of others and I know I can do it with you.

So…that’s my message for today. YouTube is really about YOU. Not in an egotistical way but in a way that edifies both you and you audience. And I fit into the mix because I’ve been working with ‘characters’ and ‘people’ all my life so I’ve got a useful knowledge of the alchemy that can help you turn your character to gold on YouTube.
