I spend as much time on the net as anyone and a few days ago I noticed a video of a little baby girl using one of the techniques that my success coaching clients pay me big bucks to teach them.

What happened was that this little girl, on a home-made video, was playing in the kitchen. Mom was at the stove and dad was sitting at the kitchen table reading a book.

The little girl was curious about what mom was cooking and she started to reach for the pan that was on the table but she stopped suddenly. She stopped because she noticed that both mom and dad were watching her very intently. You could tell she knew that mom and dad were reading her young mind.

Apparently she remembered that her parents had previously scolded her for touching things on the stove (because it’s dangerous). Dad was looking at her and just about to scold her again. You could tell she knew she was fixing to get into real ‘hot water’….figuratively and literally.

So what did she do?

She turned on the charm!

Man….you should have seen it! It was like an instant personality transformation. Her facial expression went from Frankenstein horror to Julie Andrews happiness. She rushed over to her daddy and buried her head in his lap and started laughing.

What happened next?

Well, if you’ve got kids, you know.

What parent can resist the smile and laughter of a young girl? Dad had no defense. He immediately lightened up and hugged her and made a big joke about what she almost did but how smart she was for remembering what she’d been told before.

But that sudden transformation of that little girl, in an instant….it reminded me of what I teach my success coaching students to do. I teach them how to recall emotions and the physical actions that went with them.

I know that the mind can’t tell the difference between an idea and reality. I know that it’s possible to conjure up emotions that can actually create new personalities almost on-the-spot. Actors do it all the time. It’s called ‘getting into the role’.

Where that skill is valuable to people like you is that there’s countless times during the average week, or even an average day, when you need to ‘steal the scene’ yourself.

Have you ever been at a party and wanted to share a joke you heard recently but you didn’t feel confident in telling it well? Or have you ever tried to persuade a potential business client that they would be making the right decision if they did such-and-such?

Well, how valuable would it be to you if you knew how to tell a joke that got everybody in the room laughing their asses off? You’ve seen it done…right?

Or how valuable would it be if you could motivate people to feel confident and follow you….’to the ends of the earth’…like you’ve seen so many Hollywood actors do?

It would be immensely valuable if you’re in sales because you and I both know that people buy you before they buy your product.

Well, those are just two of the countless situations where knowing how to ‘steal the scene’, would be of great value to you. I know I can teach it because I’ve been doing it for many years now. They don’t call me ‘ coach to the stars’ for nothing.

I wrote a book about this kind of stuff call “Acting For Real”. It wasn’t about acting for the sake of acting but rather about how people in everyday life can learn and use an actor’s skills to be more successful in their own ‘niche’ of life…whatever it is.

Nowadays many people are a little worried about the future. They know that being their best in their field requires that they be on their best ‘game’ mentally at all times.

I also notice that more people are trying to use youtube video marketing in their business (and of course that means YouTube.com..right?) But there seems to be one thing holding them back. Camera shyness….

Yeah…most people just aren’t comfortable on camera. And that’s why my sons (James and Tyler) and I recently launched a new course called NicheCeleb.
