Where Have All The CD's Gone?
Heaven Hi!!!
Any music lovers out there?
Well, our new frontier is saying goodbye to record labels. While CD sales are plummeting, internet portals are thriving. Due to sites such as YouTube, MySpace, and other internet creations, music fans are ignoring traditional albums, and viewing their various artists for free.
Bruce Flohr, an executive at Red Light Management, which represents artists such as Dave Matthews, and Alanis Morrissette said in a recent interview, “There’s a prevailing wisdom that many established acts don’t need a record label anymore.” He went on to say, “This is the new frontier. This is the beginning of a new era for the music business.” This is a quite the eye opener for explaing the importance of living in present time.
So the question is: Are we moving forward too fast?
Or, should we wake up and smell what the future has in store for us? Either way we need to be balanced. This transition needs to come so all who experience it will not feel as thought they have been warped into the future.
So, along with updating the way we listen to music, we should update our cliches. For instance, instead of cowboys, we’ll just say, “where have all the CDs gone?”
Be BOP!!!
