What Are Your Most Valued Possessions?
Heaven Hi!!!
First, and foremost, my family and I feel the need to send out our gratitude and thanks for the phone calls, and love from all of you. So far the fire as not claimed our home, but it is still moving close. An interesting concept came up as Nancy and I were thinking of what to take should we have to evacuate our home. What would we need? What do we value most? What materials could we not go on with? I caused to really evaluate what was really important in our lives.
Finally the answer became very lucid. Our family and our memories. We found ourselves collecting photos from all over the house of our sons. Photos from when they were babies, all the way to the young men they have become now. There is a piece of our heart in every photo we come across in those pictures. Also, the photos of my beautiful wife Nancy who is my very life. Her protection and our memories of our lives together are more important than anything our home possesses.
Which is the very reason we feel the need to constantly send loving and courageous thoughts to those people and families who have lost their home or are threatened by this natural occurrence. Also, to ask yourself; what’s important to you? If you had time to take anything besides the shirt on your back out the front door, what would it be? What is it in your life that you love the most? It sure is a good time to ask, because for some people it’s only after they lost it that they realize its importance.
We continue to be safe at the moment, but thank you again for all you consideration, we will let you know as the days go on. Just remember that “fire is like a chicken with its head cut off; it don’t know where it’s goin’; it just goes.”
Be BOP!!!
Thom
