Its Not All Autographs and Sunglasses
If you’re not using videos to market, you are selling yourself short -no matter how tall you are!
You are going to get a behind the scenes peek at what it takes to set up a professional video shoot, and how time consuming it is to get it right.
That’s why I say “Its not all autographs and sunglasses”.
It takes a lot of preparation, preparation, preparation…and I’m not referring to the “H” variety~
Check out this video, which provides a behind the scenes view of a professional stunt driving shoot/product promo for the motor oil company bestlinelubricants.com.
Using my trusty Flip video camera, I captured some pretty neat footage, and hopefully, it will inspire you to start making some videos too.
What should be important to you, in making and marketing your own guerrilla videos, is that you use what you have. Video marketing isn’t about spending a lot of money, it’s about transparency – people are hungry for information and entertainment.
They want to see, know, and like you, online video is the perfect way to build trust and rapport. Once you have made that connection with your target audience, you can sell any product or service that you truly believe in.
If you aren’t using video to tell your story, chances are your competitors will crush you. As they say in Hollywood, image is everything. If you can’t communicate using video, you might as well call it a wrap.
This video shows how you can use a simple Flip Mino HD camera to create effective killer videos without a production crew, just point, shoot, and have fun…shaky hands and all!
The central creative shift for your sales presentation should be mostly video, instead of text. Long sales letters, unless you are a copywriter, are expensive, and in my opinion, no longer relevant.
Video works because they are much more informative and entertaining than reading a long sales letter.
As with any piece of content created there are simple rules to keep in mind. I created a formula, known as the 3 “N’s”, that I apply to my videos and my life.
The 3 “N’s”
1.iNform your consumers about your services and products, give them the facts, and show them why they should consume.
2.iNspire them to take action to use your product or services, show how it will make a difference in their business and their life.
3.eNtertain Give them a laugh, fun is in, boring is out.
The key to creating killer video’s is to keep them informative, inspiring and entertaining. Short, sweet and simple - 3-5 minutes is best, unless the video is so entertaining that the length won’t be noticed.
Videos that are longer must ALWAYS have a concept and outline. Connect the concept to a metaphor or a lesson, then issue your call to action.
You can learn more about creating killer videos for online marketing by taking advantage of the free lessons that I offer through the videowebguy.com
PS. Just as Hollywood discovered years ago, businesses are beginning to understand the power of pictures, and it’s called video.
