Dad….Playing At A Home Near You
You remember the commercials you used to see about movies soon to be coming to your area, don’t you? They’d show the thrilling previews and then end with a screen text and maybe a voice-over saying, “Coming to a theater near YOU!”
Well, thanks to the internet, more and more dads are coming home too. And it couldn’t happen at a better time.
The internet and internet marketing in all it’s many varieties is getting dads all over this great country of ours out of the ’9 to 5′ rut most of them are in and back home where they can resume their rightful role in making the home the core unit of a free society and a vibrant community.
Over the last 100 years or so we’ve seen the urbanization of America and a great change from a country with a strong agricultural and family centric orientation to one more industrially oriented and with a much weaker family structure. There was a touch of progress to this but what got lost in the transition was the family centric and self-sufficient substance of it.
No longer did families share their lives and challenges and carve out their own prosperity together. Instead they became dependent on others (i.e. their imployers) for their livelihood. That was OK until globalization came along and killed so many of the jobs by sending them overseas.
Suddenly families found themselves wanting to ‘keep up with the Jones’ and women found themselves having to work to keep up with the cost of ‘the good life’. They were able to do it as long as times were good.
As the US economy transitioned from industrially based to service based, more and more people found their family lives suffering because they couldn’t be at home enough to do the things that parents are supposed to do in a democratic and Christian society. A job became the answer and at the same time the problem.
Now it’s becoming painfully obvious that there’s no such thing as job security anymore. Now more and more men are realizing that ‘a job’ (J.O.B.= ‘just over broke’) isn’t the answer. More and more men are again pursuing the dream of a home based business of their own.
And now, thanks to the continued evolution of the internet and things like Youtube.com, a lot of people are seeing either the fulfillment of their dreams or the genuine possibility of doing so.
What kind of lifestyle does the internet have to offer?
What about a 60 second commute?
What about being at home in the morning to see your kids off to school……or even being able to drive them to school yourself?
What about being able to take vacations whenever your want?
What about having an outsourced team of employees located all around the world that you can delegate work to while you go out shopping with your wife?
What about being able to watch “Pirates of The Caribbean” on your big screen TV at home while people all over the world are looking at a video you made to market an affiliate product that you didn’t make…..and you make $30 or more every time somebody buys something from the site they’re redirected to?
Home based business entrepreneurs can do all that………and more.
Yes, dads are coming home. Dad’s are becoming the local niche celebrity that they’re supposed to be.
Dad’s are making money a lot of different ways on the internet but one of the hottest areas for any dad (or mom) serious about maximizing the promise of the internet is video marketing on YouTube and similar sites.
Much of the traditional business cycle hasn’t changed. The only thing that has changed is where it’s done. It’s not done entirely ‘in stores’ or ‘on the phone’ or ‘via the mail’ now. Business is going online. And more and more of it is done with video marketing through such sites as YouTube.
It’s not just fruits, vegetables, pants and lawnmowers that are sold on the net. Now it’s everything from college scholarships to hobby supplies to airline tickets to complete travel packages to bank loans…..literally everything ‘from soup to nuts’.
Online video has become the most effective means to do it and you know what? If you try to compete with somebody who understands how to use online video properly…you’ll lose.
People still like doing business with people they like and that’s where video has so much of an advantage over text and other traditional media. Video, if done properly, can create the personal bond across which business can flow.
The only problem is that some people have a hard time being their best ‘on camera‘. In fact, most people are just not comfortable expressing themselves on video. Being ‘camera-comfortable‘ is still considered something for Hollywood and TV stars.
But those of us like myself, who’ve been in Hollywood and TV for a long time…..we know that the skills we’ve learned over the years to become good at our craft….we know that those skills can be learned by just about anybody.
We know that with the right coaching, the ‘stay at home’ Dad can learn to become almost as good or even better than Ed McMahon. We know that camera shyness can be overcome with the right training and coaching.
We know that men (and women) who want to learn how to use the internet and video marketing to build new, home based businesses or make their existing business more profitable….they can do it. And we want to help.
In case you don’t know me, I’m Thom McFadden and I’ve worked in Hollywood as an actor for most of my life. I’ve been in a whole bunch of movies and I’ve also starred in over 100 TV series. Additionally, my experience in acting covers Little Theater, Broadway, countless commercials, writing, executive coaching and life coaching. Acting has made me a better person just like I know it can do for you…..especially if you’re a dad…..like me.
Me and my sons, Tyler and James (AKA: the McFadden Brothers) recently launched a new course called NicheCeleb that you’ll like if you want to learn how to use video and YouTube to make money on the internet.
My contribution to the course is my over 50 years of acting and acting coaching experience. I know how to help people bring out their happy, excited, confident and expressive side. But there’s another equally valuable side to the course too.
My sons, James and Tyler McFadden have been interested in video marketing for a long time. In fact they got involved with YouTube way way back in it’s early days. They were one of the first YouTubePartners and they’ve produced videos that , in total, have over 60,000,000 views.
You may already have a business or a cause you’d like to promote on the internet and with video marketing. Or maybe you’d like to learn how to use video marketing and sites like YouTube and then find an affiliate product to promote.
Either way, we can help. Our course,NiceCeleb, is now available and we’ve prepared a special introductory info pac which will give you a useful sample of some of the information in it. We’d like you to have it and all you have to do is click here to get your copy.
NicheCeleb can help any aspiring entrepreneur. But since Father’s Day is this week, we’re especially thinking of ‘dads’. If you’re a dad, we want to help you enjoy the home based internet entrepreneur lifestyle.
We want to see you soon making videos in your own home. We want your wife and family to be proud to say, “Hey….it’s my DAD! Playing At A Home Near You!” on the net.
Happy Father’s Day
