Video = Trust,Confidence and Rapport

Are you looking for a creative way to market your brand, product, or service? There are many different marketing techniques that you can utilize. Videos are becoming an increasingly popular way to get more people to know about a business.

While this can be a great way to get your brand exposure, it is important to use video marketing effectively in order to get the results that you want. If not, your marketing efforts may be wasted.

What do I mean? Well, most people don’t know how to use viral video marketing correctly. Most people assume that they should create a video just because other people are doing it. This leads to many boring and lifeless videos that people don’t even want to watch.

If you create a video that people want to watch, internet video marketing can be a great way to teach people about your company. This is one of the most important things to consider. Does your video have interest?

This can be achieved by creating a video that stands out from the crowd. If you record yourself reading a boring script, it’s not going to get much attention. However, if you show your enthusiasm and create a truly creative video that people will want to watch, you will begin to get the word out about your business.

If you want to get youtube views, your video has got to be great. If you have a video that stands out, more people will share your video with their friends and family. This can be an excellent way to spread the news about your company.

Another beneficial way to utilize marketing videos to your advantage is by creating a video that really showcases the benefits of your product or services. Consider making a video that shows your product in use. If you are looking to market your services, find a creative way to discuss why someone needs to take advantage of your services. If you want people to spend money on your company, it is important that you show them why they need your brand. This is essential to trying to get sales through the use of youtube internet marketing.

You can benefit greatly from the help of videos. With so many marketing options available, it can be hard to choose the best one. One of the most creative options includes the use of youtube videos to help your brand be known. Take advantage of a great way to teach people about your brand while getting more youtube views.

A very intelligent man once said “A successful person is willing to do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do.” In this blog post: Using Video Marketing, I’ll show you the steps to using Niche Celeb YouTube marketing to improve your business and increase your profits.

Focus + Mission=’s Forecast

Niche Celeb online video marketing business plan is one of the most important tools that you should be using to increase sales. For example: Have you ever noticed how many local car dealers are staring in their own television commercials? They learned years ago that marketing videos are very important to sales. You can be assured that they are not overlooking the importance of YouTube advertising.

FOCUS ON YOUR MISSION

Don’t lose sight of where you are going. Don’t sit on the sidelines thinking, “I wish I could do that!” Nobody is stopping you, except maybe YOU! The increasing use of viral video marketing is proving that people are going online first for just about everything they want to buy. In today’s world successful marketing means you should be able to increase YouTube views. It is a reasonable expectation that your views will number in the millions in a very short period of time as long as you stay FOCUSED ON YOUR MISSION.

Mission Accomplished Means the Leadership to Follow Through

Even a horse knows that he has to be the first one out of the starting gate to win the race. He is a highly trained athlete with the passion, drive and commitment to succeed. Before leaving the winner’s circle, he has gone viral and his YouTube friend adder is clicking up the number of views like crazy. Everybody wants to see that amazing race again.

Execution of your plan should never be an afterthought! That is almost a marketing sin! How is your plan going to work if you aren’t actively involved in every aspect of the implementation from the first glimmer of an idea to the end of the campaign? You have to have the passion, drive, commitment and vision. I’ll teach you the aspects of marketing. YouTube should, of course, be the number one implement in your toolbox.

State Your Goals and Your Plan

How bad do you want to accomplish your goals? YouTube internet marketing means no limited commitment. Take action immediately if you hear negative comments. The plan has to be simple, forthright and everyone on the team needs to stay focused on the goal.

You’ll get more YouTube views if you don’t blur your focus, or waste resources. Your goal has to be focused and you have to be committed to the mission. The message has to be simple so that you can be a star of your YouTube for business message.

YouTube affiliate marketing as well as internet video marketing requires simple solutions on a daily basis that are clear and understandable. Excellence has to come from you and your organization. Get rid of dead weight, the team is only as strong as the weakest player.

The Leader’s Job is to Simplify the Complex

The job might be complex, but, the leader needs to break down the complex and assign everyone, down to the newest member of the team their simple tasks. Break down the complex into a multitude of simple tasks and it will all come together. Suddenly the complex video marketing software will breakdown into simple YouTube marketing secrets.

I’ll show you how to increase YouTube views but it will be up to you to continue to remember Focus + Mission=’s Forecast in order to continue to get YouTube views.

What is RAS?

First let me say the reason the secret does not work for the lay person is Drum Roll please, it’s called the RAS and it is a brain barrier.

At the very top of your spine where it enters the head is a little organ the size of a small finger and some inches long called the Reticular Activating System.

The RAS acts as a filter system to protect you from the large number of impulses that are continually coming from the environment. In effect, it acts like a secretary filtering the mail of an executive, discarding the junk mail and only allowing the predetermined important mail to be put on your desk

Well, this is the good part which is why the "Secret" is tough to do, the RAS only allows info to go into the brain only if there is a pre-existing electrical circuit capable of absorbing the new info.

And one way to initially create a circuit is by repetition of an idea for many days.

We must learn that we can receive from the Law of Attraction only what we give to the Law;that the Law assumes toward us just the attitude we assume toward it.

Now here is the good part "The Secret" clamed that when you give your waitress brain a want, no mater if it is good or bad that is what will be served up. Sounds to me like Denny’s, check please!

If this was true then as an Actor I would be the Neck Tie murder but thank god it takes repetition, in fact some new brain circuits can be created in as few as 21 days and some in 30 days.

However, brain researchers have determined that if an idea is repeated for 120 days, it will definitely form a brain circuit and, in that case, the RAS will then emit brain chemicals that will seal the electrical circuit, in effect making it a permanent habit.

I would like to add one important point. When a circuit is sealed into the brain, then the RAS is very receptive to any related new ideas and all of sudden you will find yourself to be very "lucky" and creative.

But what is so secret about the Secret, I would love to hear from you what your take on the secret is, for one thing it was a great marketing story cha cheng. but what is it?

At first, what I learned from the "Secret" seemed kind of "metaphysical" to me. Is it the "missing link"? , it seemed too simple to be true, in my book Acting for Real (Plug)

I write about life being simple but not easy, and how you can be the STAR IN YOUR LIFE. So duu in fact, I realized that it wasn’t metaphysical at all. It was actually "Quantum Physics" — the study of subatomic particles. the Law of Attraction.

The simplest definition of this law is "like attracts like." Right now you may be wondering what Quantum Physics has to do with the " Secret" Well, the simple fact is — it has EVERYTHING to do with it!

Quantum Physics explains how everything in our world comes to be. It shows how we are all in direct manipulation of our entire physical world.

In other words, even though your life appears to you as if you are the victim of circumstances — in reality, you control virtually everything in your life!

And because most people are not aware of this seemingly impossible fact, most people don’t know how really easy it is to Develop there script for success and get what they need.

Once you realize "the illusion of reality" — and learn how to master it —You can be the STAR in your life .. you can acquire everything your heart desires!

But there is always a but! just like life is simple but not easy It is simple in concept but practice is necessary. The "Secret" with out a doubt is No doubt, and It takes ACTION!. That’s the secret sauce to the "SECRET

So the reason "The Secret" does not ordinarily "take" is that few people are disciplined enough to repeat there need or wish. The Law of Action. That’s the "Secret" ,

Now you look RAS up in the dictionary and tell me what you think it is. Don" tell them what I think because we are only interested in what you think the "Secret" is. I am working on an article about the "Secret" called

RAS me TAS.

Be Bop!

Are you in the process of finding a new job or changing careers? If you are, you may also be in the process of creating a resume for yourself. Although resumes can be complicated and nerve-wracking to develop, they are usually a lot easier to write than originally thought.

With that in mind, there are still many problems or complications that arise. For many resume writers that problem has to do with references.

On your resume, there is a good chance that you will list references. These references can typically come in two different formats. These formats are personal references and professional references.

You will find that many employers actually like to see a combination of them both. Also, on average, most hiring companies like to see at least three references on their job applications and resumes.

Now that you know what many companies look for, in terms of references on a resume, you may want to start listing your references right away. While this approach is one that you can take, you may want to proceed with caution.

As previously stated, one of the many mistakes that resume writers make involves their references. Some of the most common mistakes, as well as ways to prevent those mistakes from happening, are outlined below for your convenience.

One of the biggest mistakes that a job seeker, possibly just like you, makes involves listing no references at all. If you are simply submitting your resume, you may be able to get away without having any references listed, but you may not want to take any chances.

If you are currently still lining up your references, you may want to have the phrases “references available upon request,” under the heading of references on your resume.

Should you fill out a job application and are asked to provide references, you will want to do so. Omitting information on a job application may cause your application to be overlooked.

Another mistake that many job seekers make, in terms of their resume references, is not asking to use a reference in the first place. In almost all cases, you will find that your references are checked.

That is why it is important that you ask each individual that you would like to have listed on a resume or a job application before officially listing them as a reference.

If you have already submitted your job application and resume, without asking first, you will want to let each individual know, as soon as possible, that you used them as a job reference and that they may be receiving a phone call.

This is important, as you do not want your references to be caught off guard, as it may impact their responses.

As previously stated, most companies like to see a combination of professional and personal references on their job applications and on all submitted resumes.

This is a mistake that many job seekers also make and one that you will want to not make. For that reason, you may want to consider listing four references on your job applications or resumes.

This would allow you to have an even number of personal references and professional references.

The above mentioned mistakes are common mistakes that many job seekers make when writing a resume for themselves. By keeping these common mistakes in mind, you can ensure that you do not make similar ones.

This should automatically improve your chances of landing the job of your dreams or at least a job interview.

In my “Acting For Real” seminars, I discuss Man’s desires and strivings in life are first prompted by his feelings, emotions, and beliefs.

He has always responded more quickly whenever his emotions, and therefore his imagination, have been aroused to the level of passion.

His imagination has not only been the starting point, but the driving force that produces his outcomes. All religions, adventures, systems of education, discoveries in art and science, and all forms of sport and business, are expressed through some force of emotional action;

In other words, through the medium of behavior.

“Humanities/Passion” is the first example of that behavior.

The first enlightened “I AM” personality is humanities/passion. It is the most powerful “I AM” because it reveals passionate and total commitment to your self worth.

Your “I AM” humanities personality represents the power of your belief system and what you stand for.

If you believe in it passionately, it will reveal itself with emotional energy and power. This is your chance to discover which core beliefs truly make you passionate, and to make sure that they are rooted in a motivation to help mankind.

Every professional who provides a service to mankind, including doctors, lawyers, teachers, police officers, politicians, religious leaders, and firefighters – is a humanitarian at heart.

Even if they seem to lose their passion for their work over a period of time and become jaded, they will reveal their humanities in some way or another.

This “I AM” personality is the foundation of their belief system – it has to be. Humanities and passion are the essence of who they are and what they do.

Duplicating the “I AM” Humanities Personality

“We must act out passion before we can feel it.”Jean-Paul Sartre

Observation is the key to self-awareness and change. So do you see yourself as a humanitarian? If you do, how does it manifest itself in your behavior?

Do you get excited about your political convictions and passionately jump onto your soapbox on Election Day? How far do you go with your emotions and energy to prove a point or that you’re right?

Do you have any of these qualities? Does any of this sound familiar to you? If you answered, “YES!” to any of these, at some time or another you have revealed to your audience your “I AM” humanities personality.

Make a list of everything that you are “for” in life. What are you willing to debate or argue about? What is important to you? What do you stand for? Who are you? What are your causes? What are you passionate about?

For example, here’s mine:

1) Education – I’m pro-education and passionately in favor of a superior reading level across the board!

2) Enlightenment – People should be working on themselves throughout their life; Rekindle the higher power within you!

3) Environmentalism – Save the Earth! Stop polluting! Recycle! Love Mother Nature

4) Pro-Arts and Humanities – Stop cutting the arts and humanities education in our public schools!

Get a piece of paper and make your list. Now, stand up and read it out loud. Observe what your voice does as your level of passion fluctuates.

For you to be able to reveal your “I AM” humanities personality, you have to get involved in life! Be a volunteer! Give back!

Here are some acting exercises to give you more fun ways to duplicate and reveal your “I AM” Humanities personality.

Awards Night Exercise

Observe the behavior of the award recipient. These are humanitarian speeches coming from love and a cause. Notice how they are always encourage others to follow their dreams, as they are being rewarded for doing the same. As they are receiving, they are simultaneously giving to others.

The acceptance speech is where the recipients connect their external behavior with their internal emotions and passion.

Internal – their cause and love of mankind, and devotion to those who helped drive them to success,

External – revealing that passion through Body Language..

Now, practice giving your own award acceptance speech, duplicating some of the Body Language gestures you observed on award shows.

Square up, lean forward, look at your audience, and keep your hands up near your heart. Your heart is in present time. It is your balance point – your center.

All of your actions and behaviors that arise from your heart, will be humanities driven.

Who are you going to thank in your speech? Make a list of everyone in your life who has contributed to the person you are today.

The people who gave of themselves to create you – your family, friends, loved ones – did so from their heart. As you thank them in your award speech, you will fully realize how powerful humanitarian acts are.

You will also build your self-esteem, as you once again take stock of your store and what you have to offer the world as a humanitarian.

Picture Exercise

Find a magazine or newspaper picture in which a person is revealing the “I AM” humanities/passion personality.

Now duplicate that picture (costume, pose, mood, etc.) and freeze until you get a sense of the emotion. Hold onto that emotion.

Post the picture up somewhere and walk, talk, and move, the way that person would talk, using your own humanitarian causes. Do this for all the causes on your list. You are now creating the Body Language of the person in that picture and connecting it to your own internal emotions!

Next, try it out on your friends. Convince them that what you believe in is the right way. Be powerful! Use your passion to change their minds and get them to see your side!

Examples of humanities performances by actors to model:

Russell Crowe – The Insider

Robin Wright – Forrest Gump

Tom Hanks – Philadelphia

Sally Field – Norma Rae

Robert Redford – All The President’s Men

Marlon Brando – On The Waterfront

Meryl Streep – Sophie’s Choice

Make your own list of humanitarians to model. Observe television evangelists and preachers. What do you see? What kind of gestures do they make?

The movements of their arms are generally uplifting and energetic as they move about, almost in a dance. They are charged with magnetic presence .

Next, watch some politicians and activists. What do they have in common? Their physical gestures include clenched fists, sawing the air, hands over their heads, strong emotions in their voices -

Their entire body vibrates with power and forcefulness. Their Body Language is squared up, leaning forward and on the balls of there feet.

Have you ever got up in the morning on the wrong side of the bed? Ever have a case of the “Monday morning blues”? Now, hold your hands above your head, palms up and facing out, reaching toward the sky.

Hold this pose for one minute. While doing this exercise let every emotion that is pulling you down – fly out through your fingertips.

Go back to your “soapbox list” again. Get up on a chair, the couch, or anything that will make you taller. I want you to get the feeling that you are above everyone else.

Use the Body Language gesture that you just learned (palms out, arms outstretched overhead). Now you’re ready to do some preaching’ about your causes!

Let the emotions wash over you! Don’t censor yourself! Have fun! You’re connecting with yourself while conveying your passion to others!

Do these exercises every day for a few minutes, using each of your impassioned causes. Try them in different movements and positions – standing, sitting, walking, moving, etc.

The most important thing is to keep your hand gestures above your heart at all times. You can’t get excited about anything with your arms hanging lifelessly at your sides, just as you can’t be depressed about anything with your hands up over your head!

Keep your dukes up!

After doing this for a period of time by yourself, try it out in front of other people. Observe yourself when you’re talking to someone about one of your causes, take note of the psychological gestures that excite them, and remember to duplicate those gestures next time.

Congratulations, you have now successfully revealed and taken ownership of your “I AM” humanities/passion personality!

Now go out and Reveal your passion!

Give Something Back! Be Bop!

Your “I AM” Humanities/ Passion Role

Passion is in all great searches and is necessary to all creative endeavors.

—Eugene W. Smith

hu·man·i·ties (n. pl.)

1. The qualities of being humane; benevolent

2. Humane characteristics, attributes, or acts.

pas·sion (n.)

1. Boundless enthusiasm.

Desire is prompted by feelings, emotions and beliefs. We respond faster when we feel passionate about something. It’s the blood that runs through your veins. Your imagination starts and drives all of life’s outcomes. Religion, education, art and scientific discovery, sports and business are expressed through some force of emotional action or behavior. This is your Humanities/ Passion role.

The first enlightened “I AM” personality, Humanities/ Passion, is the most powerful because it reveals your passion and commitment. This role shows the power behind your belief system. It’s the core of what you stand for and the strength behind your values.

When you reveal your Humanities/ Passion personality, your psychological gestures are straight and forward. Your Body Language is erect, square and tall. You face forward. You’re direct and passionate. Your Humanities/ Passion role is expressed by hands-held-up gestures. Observe others around you in this role and notice their gestures. When you understand the physical signs of this emotion, you are able to model them in your own Body Language.

Psychological gestures are powerful. The terrorist actions of September 11th were a major shift in the American emotional paradigm. People contributed financial aid, emotional support and loving, altruistic thoughts to the victims and their families. These are perfect examples of humanities on a massive scale.

Professional service providers—doctors, lawyers, teachers, police officers, politicians, religious leaders, firefighters and others—are humanitarian at heart. They reveal humanities in some way or another. They follow a core belief system and their actions resonate this passion. The Humanities/ Passion role is the foundation of their belief system and personality.

Which core beliefs are you passionate about? Your Humanities/ Passion personality is motivated to help mankind. Your Humanities/ Passion leads and participates in political campaigns, charitable organizations, benefit services and similar activities. Do you volunteer at a rape crisis center, build homes for Habitat for Humanity or feed the homeless on holidays? This is the first part of your Creative Triangle.

Identifying and Revealing the “I AM” Humanities/Passion Role

“We must act out passion before we can feel it.”

—Jean-Paul Sartre

Do you see yourself as dominantly humanitarian? If so, how does it manifest itself in your outward behavior? Do you get excited about your political convictions and passionately jump onto your soapbox on Election Day? How far do you exert your emotions and energy to prove your point? Revealing any of these qualities at some time or another expresses your “I AM” Humanities/ Passion.

In your journal, make a list of the causes and issues you support. What are you willing to debate or argue about? What’s important to you? What do you stand for? What are you passionate about? For example, how do you feel about education, the environment, arts and humanities, religion, abortion, fiscal policy, human rights, exercise and health?

After you make your list, stand up to read it aloud. Observe your Body Language. Notice your voice as your passion level fluctuates. The way you express this passion through Body Language defines your Humanities/ Passion psychological gestures. You can model these gestures at any time without having the same feelings. You simply repeat the physical actions to act the part.

Take voice lessons to control the delivery of your enlightened characters. Voice lessons are extremely therapeutic and build self-confidence. If you have financial constraints or hesitate showing your voice, join the church choir and ask the choir leader to give you voice lessons. The choir leader is a humanitarian and will jump at the opportunity to help. Remember excuses are for the victim character. Overpower this role and replace it with humanity and passion. Strengthen your Enlightened triangle.

The only way to reveal your Humanities/ Passion personality is through involvement in life. Become a volunteer and give back to society. Learn what organizations you can volunteer at on a local or national level. When you strengthen the humanitarian within, you develop a peaceful balance.

Volunteer organizations are outstanding opportunities to meet people that share your values and beliefs. They also offer comfortable, stress-free environments to spark a conversation. In your serious commitment to improving your dating experience, include volunteer activities in your social life. Sharing and caring emotions drive you to success.

Go back to your “soapbox list” again. Get up on a chair or the couch. Stand tall. Get the feeling you’re above everyone and everything. Use the Humanities/ Passion psychological gesture that you learned (palms out, arms outstretched overhead). Now you’re ready to do some preaching about your causes.

The psychological gestures can bring these emotions back. Let this passion wash over you. Don’t censor yourself. Have fun. You’re connecting with your Humanities/ Passion role while conveying your cause to others.

Practice these exercises every day for a few minutes using each of your causes. Try the techniques with different movements and positions—standing, sitting, walking and moving. Keep your psychological gestures above your heart at all times. You can’t get excited about anything with your arms hanging lifelessly at your sides, just as you can’t be depressed about anything with your hands up over your head. Keep your dukes up. Control your outcome.

After practicing alone, try the techniques in front of others. Observe yourself—your body and voice—when you’re talking to someone about your cause. Note the psychological gestures that excite them, and remember to repeat or reveal those gestures next time. These qualities will attract a higher quality of individual.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully revealed and taken ownership of your “I AM” Humanities

Be Bop!

A Work in Progress

You are a work in progress and will be until the day you die. That is the journey of life: Mining your Mind until the end. To work on yourself, you must be in constant communication with your mind

Through self-exploration, you will find the joy and excitement of constantly working on yourself to attain enlightenment.

You will need finer tools and instruments to reach this state of being. You will need a different approach.

Albert Einstein said, “Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them.”

You need to start your approach by asking yourself questions. Questions are the lifeblood of self-exploration. Real questions arise from a deep need and inner search.

These questions should be practical so they can lead to useful answers and realizations toward your inner growth. Be naive with your questions.

Ask yourself questions with attainable answers that can result from a little inner searching. Instead of “Why am I here?” ask “What steps am I taking right now that will move me toward my goals?”

Start with smaller, practical questions that have easily recognizable answers, and put them into practice now. The answers to your questions are the solutions to your problems.

By now, you realize that you are in question. You must work on yourself daily in order to answer the questions that will lead to the discovery of your real, enlightened self. By observing your self,Your Body Language, you will soon discover that you are living in a mechanical state.

How do you turn off the autopilot? By making a conscious decision to take action! Start questioning EVERYTHING and draw your OWN conclusions based on your observations. Start staring at life. Tune in to what’s happening around you!

Next, stop criticizing and blaming yourself and others, regardless of what undesired characteristics or motivations you discover. And there will be some. But you need to proceed with your search.

When you become aware that you have done the best you can with the tools you have to work with, regardless of your outcomes or feedback.

you can discover how and why you act and react as you do. Only then can you make meaningful progress in expanding your answers to the questions.

The third part of self-exploration is to maintain that active awareness of yourself and your surroundings. When you observe how incomplete you are, how you drift from one direction to the other, you will realize that you must work on yourself constantly.

Self-exploration requires awareness, honesty, and a constant state of excitement

Process of Self-Exploration

When working with actors on creating a role, I encourage them to use the following process of exploration to create a full-dimensional character.

With self-exploration, we can see ourselves as others see us. The following exercise is a tool to gain an awareness of yourself. Use it as a guide to get glimpses of who you are.

Observe, question, and think about each of the following areas of self-exploration. Then draw your own conclusions based on your observations.

Explore the following: 5 steps:

1. Your Thoughts and Mental Pictures:

An actor places himself in the shoes of his character, exploring the character’s thoughts and mental pictures in order to reveal them truthfully through Body Language. As an actor for real, you must ask yourself the same questions about the character you are portraying.

What are the belief systems behind your thoughts and mental pictures? What triggers your thoughts and emotions, and what outcomes are they leading you to?

A thought and a mental picture precede each of your actions. Once you become aware of the thoughts, emotions, and pictures that drive your actions, you will be in greater control of your outcomes.

2. Your Dialogue:

Every word of an actor’s dialogue has a specific and dramatic meaning. Everything you say is significant, probably much more than you realize. Be observant of what you say. Ask yourself – Why did I say that? Was it to request or share information? Was it to express or elicit an emotion?

Was it to feed my inner critic or be critical of others? In other words, what is the need behind everything you say?

Examine everything you say honestly and carefully, without judgment. Stay neutral.

3. Your Needs, Motivations, and Objectives:

When acting in a scene, an actor asks himself, “What does my character need? What’s my motivation? What’s my objective?”

In the same way, your needs, motivations, and objectives, can tell you more about yourself than any other area of self-discovery. Are they achievable? Are they biased? Are they constructive or destructive?

4. Your awareness:

When habitual behavior is driven by a destructive need, it is called an addiction. All compulsive actions are based upon a habitual cycle of behavior that can be broken by awareness and self-observation.

Ask yourself – what am I compulsive about, and why? Is it a Need or a Want? If you want something, you are on autopilot, unaware of your addiction. Need is a survival emotion but Want is a habit, a superficial whim, A gasp of air. Haa I want that!

If you need to do something you will do it. Need is driven by the strongest emotion in your belief system – the one that motivates you to survive.

What specific emotion is responsible for your compulsive action (for example, depression leading to overeating)? Ask yourself, what need am I fulfilling, and what is a more constructive way of filling that need?

5. Your Wishes:

The great philosopher Gurdjieff said, “If you wish you can. Without wishing you never can”.

Wish is the most powerful thing in the world. With conscious wish, everything comes.”

Explore your wishes by asking yourself:

What are the needs behind my wishes? What actions have I taken toward making my wishes a reality?

What actions will I take today? Make a 30-day plan.

Remember – Positive outcomes are wishes brought to fruition through The Law of Attraction and The Law ACTION!

Be Bop!

When I became involved in the theory of BOP, it reminded me of my youth in the late fifties. Those were the days! There was this dance craze going on at the time called “The Be-Bop” or as my mother used to call it, “The Dirty Boogie.” My grandmother was worse; to her it was the devil’s music!…

I used to sneak out every chance I could to go to my friend’s house. We’d listen to records like Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets and we’d rock around the clock! So when I came up with the term BOP, it brought me back to when I was a teenager and all the fun I had just listening and dancing the night away.

When you are in BOP you are in a state of greatness where the universe is working with you. Everything is in harmony with each other and you feel that you can achieve anything! So, how would you like to get into this state of order? Let’s examine what BOP means. BOP is an anagram for Balance, Observant and Present and if you desire to boogie, then you need to know how to apply these three things in your life! First Let’s talk about balance.

There are many ways to define balance. It could be a trapeze artist holding their balance on a tightrope, or something simple like balancing your checkbook. If you’re like me balancing the checkbook is not so easy, my wife Nancy does that. But what I’m talking about is being in Balance. The essence of balance is when there is order. You’re standing up in a boat but not rocking it. You’re driving a sports car and you’ve shifted the gears into neutral. You have the choice of shifting it to a lower or higher gear. You are in control. Being in balance is a state the runner is in before the gun goes off. The key to being in balance is by being aware of all of your five senses. Once you do that, you will be in tune with yourself and everything around you.

Now, how many times have you heard someone say, "Watch out!" "Don’t be caught off balance!" "Stay on your toes!" "Stop slouching!" "Stand up straight!" and “Don’t be caught flat-footed!” Sound familiar?

Take a moment to check out the bottom of your shoes. You can pause the CD if you like. Is the heel worn out more than the soles? Now, walk across the room. How do you feel? Do you feel like you’re leaning more on your heels or on the soles of you shoes?

If you are on your heels, you need to be on the balls of your feet. Listen, I’m going to tell you how: Start by placing your feet shoulder width apart. Then, place your weight on the balls of your feet, and lean forward slightly. Start walking, one foot after the other. How do you feel? Are you aware of your feet hitting the ground? Are you on the balls of your feet? If you are, congratulations! That’s the first step to being balanced!

Now I’m going to tell you a story about this actor I coach. He had lost a bunch of weight but still walked like he was overweight. He was on the back of his heels and he wasn’t standing up straight. So the first thing we worked on was how to be balanced. I corrected his stance by making him stand up straighter and showed him how to be on the balls of his feet. One of his favorite exercises was for him to walk a straight line. He called it his John Wayne walk. So after a few sessions with me, he’s walking tall with such confidence, that there’s a spring in his step.

A few months go by and I get a call from him.

“Hey Coach, I’m so glad you taught me how to walk a straight line cause last night, I got pulled over by the cops! I wasn’t drinking, I was just so tired from shooting all day and I was driving too slow. The cop asked me to walk a straight line and even though I was exhausted, I still was able to walk on the balls of my feet! The cop knew that I was an actor and as he let me go he said, “drive safely and good luck, you know you kind of walk like John Wayne.” So thanks Pilgrim!”

The first enlightened "I AM" personality, Humanities/ Passion, is the most powerful because it reveals your passion and commitment. This role shows the power behind your belief system. It’s the core of what you stand for and the strength behind your values.

When you show your Humanities/ Passion personality, your psychological gestures are straight and forward. Your posture is erect, square and tall.

Identifying and Revealing the "I AM" Humanities/Passion Role

“We must act out passion before we can feel it.”

—Jean-Paul Sartre

Do you see yourself as dominantly humanitarian? If so, how does it manifest itself in your outward behavior? Do you get excited about your political convictions and passionately jump onto your soapbox on Election Day? How far do you exert your emotions and energy to prove your point? Revealing any of these qualities at some time or another expresses your "I AM" Humanities/ Passion.

Observe your behavior. Notice your voice as your passion level fluctuates. The way you express this passion through behavior defines your Humanities/ Passion psychological gestures.

Go back to your "soapbox list" again.

You’ve successfully revealed and taken ownership of your "I AM" Humanities

Be Bop!

Attitude is everything! Boost your self esteem with an attitude adjustment.

Many people all over the word are in a state of panic right now because of the teetering economy. Doom and gloom seems to be everywhere. We are all on an economic journey.

How can you deal with all this stress?

First, keep in mind the wisdom found in the “Serenity Prayer.”

Grant me the wisdom to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

A worldwide economic crisis is definitely out of your control. So dealing with the stress of uncertain economic times boils down to your attitude about the situation. (How you deal with your actual money is a completely different subject.)

Virtually everything in life begins with attitude. Attitude has a profound impact on the quality of your life. It can make or break you. Your reactions to events that happen in your life are far more important than the actual events. You can not change the past or predict the future. Challenges will continue to occur in your life. The only thing you have complete control over each and every day is your attitude.

Your attitude about yourself is the perfect place to start. Each of us is born with unlimited potential. Your self esteem is a function of the continuity between your beliefs & values and your actions. Act with integrity. Create a style.

Your lifestyle plan should include moving in a positive direction mentally, physically and spiritually. Positive actions become habits with consistent repetition. Strive to master yourself, your emotions and your mind set. Form good habits and become their slave.

Take a few minutes each day to relax and reduce stress. Establish exercises to work on. Put at least one-hour aside each day to study. Always continue to learn. Don’t procrastinate, just do it! (Nike). Create a sense of the highest urgency. Organize your personal and professional life.

Surround yourself with positive, optimistic people because it creates the atmosphere you need to achieve. spend quality time with quality people because if you spend quality time with casual people you will wind up being the casualty.

You will get what you need by helping others get what they need. Effective communication with others is critical. Love and respect yourself and others every day. Teamwork and cooperation are essential. Encourage creativity within boundaries.

Stop condemning, complaining or criticizing. Find out what interests others. Express appreciation for others and make them feel important. Be sincere and enthusiastic. Always be honest and true. Make the most of your talents and abilities. Keep developing and striving for excellence.

Gain a reputation of good character. Give from your heart and it will always come back to you ten fold. Give back to others in greater need.

Time is your most precious commodity. How you positively and constructively budget your time will have a great impact on your success. A daily calendar is a must. There are daily planners/organizers available that are developed specifically for your business.

Life can, at times, get a bit overwhelming. When it does, its okay to take a break and rest, but never quit. Go punch a pillow, scream, cry, pray, meditate or talk with someone who cares. After you rebound get back to it.

Almost all successful and happy people have experienced many painful failures. Use your faith to embrace and transform suffering by accepting its purifying value. Do not let it defeat you. Persist. Be courageous. Be determined. Always maintain a sense of humor. Take time to laugh and smile.

BE BOP!
