Are You Ready To MAMBO?
Heaven Hi!!!
Well, it’s time once again to MAMBO our way back to the dance floor for our Dancing with the Stars review!!!
For the faint heard ‘round the world we welcome back Mrs. Marie Osmond. However, her number shocked crowds, because there were two points in her dance where she was supposed to fall to the ground, one in the middle, and then again at the very end. Both times you could hear the audience gasp for her supposed faint, but each time she got back up it was obvious that these were intended collapses. Marie? Don’t worry us like that!
But, alas, today we are turning our attention to our boxom blonde beauty, Jennie Garth. She mamboed her way to a score of 27 out of 30, the top score of the evening. Last week she stiffened up unable to meet the beat, but last night she was Balanced, Observant, and Present, and she blew us away.
Jennie Garth known for her role on 90210 entered Dancing with the Stars admitting she was “not a dancer.” However, when the camera’s caught her practicing with her partner, it was obvious why she was fumbling on the floor, and how she got her act together? Her dance partner kept saying, “You look nervous, you don’t look like your mind is here.” It was true! Her negative self talk caused her to be caught up in those moments of mistake from the past and not to be present in the moment. Her partner finally brought her to the dance floor we see on the show and asked her, “What is it that makes you the most nervous?” ………And sure enough she pointed to the judges table and said, “That!” So, her partner took her by the hand and told her to pretend this was the showcased night, causing her to be present and aware of where she was, and then practiced. On Monday night during the show, she stole the show! You could see she was balanced in her movement, observant of her surroundings and her partner, and present delivering a dance to remember.
In my book, Acting For Real, I talk about how being in BOP (Balanced, Observant, and Present) is the state of greatness. It causes you to be focused and aware and ready for whatever life throws at you. By applying the same principles the stars use for the stage and screen, Acting For Real can teach you to live a BOP life. You can learn to be the star in your own “dance” in life. So, take action. Since life’s a dance, you don’t want to trip and fall because you were not in BOP do you? Acting For Real will give you what it takes to be the star!!! Ready? A-5, 6,7,8……….
Be BOP!!!
