Heaven Hi!!!

Well if your T.V. show title reads like an alphabet soup mishap then you’re probably doing pretty well. For shows like NCIS, CSI, The Law and Orders: SVU, CI, some of the top rated shows have proven to be hitting strong in the ratings, with NCIS toppling the charts right now.

Then there are those stellar ratings. Last season, it averaged 14.5 million weekly viewers to rank 17th among all shows. For the week of October 15, it drew more than 17.5 million viewers to gain the No. 6 position. It’s just behind “Grey’s Anatomy,” proving that sexy young things have yet to achieve a TV monopoly.

“‘NCIS’ is the little show that could, a true hit that does not get the attention it deserves,” said Marc Berman, analyst for Media Week Online.

NCIS has been lately referred to as the television that has, “quietly become a hit.” What makes this navy investigative unit so popular? Well with a summary of the show we can answer that question by utilizing the six components that make up human behavior.

The main character, Mark Harmon, who was previously titled ‘sexiest man alive,’ by People Magazine, commands the screen as Leroy Jethro Gibbs the leading man of the NCIS team. His character focuses 50% on his humanities, for his concern for the well being of people’s lives as well as his own. Although, let’s not let this one slide, he’s also one with the ladies. With his acerbic puns and his off of the tongue flirtations he tends to have 25% of his focus towards his sexuality. …….And the other 25% of his focus towards his humor. The man loves to pass those smart remarks for a few laughs. The brilliance of the NCIS team is they that each individual character shares the same variation in personality with slight diversity but keeps a united consistency throughout. Something for the mind to just digest. If you pick up my book, Acting For Real, you too can model these character’s personalities in your own lives. You will be able to use your humor in an effective way. You will learn how to flirt to your benefit. You will learn to develop the same methods the stars do for the stage and screen. Check it out. It’s all in there. Maybe one day we’ll be reading about how high your shows rating are?

Be BOP!!!
